The Homestead is registered as a Non Profit Organisation (NPO 003-217) with the South African Department of Social Welfare, a Public Benefit Organisation with the South African Revenue Service as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 18/11/13/1038) and as a Non Profit Company with the Companies and Intellectual Properties Commission (CIPC) (2016/156959/08). Also all the Homestead programmes are legally registered with the Department of Social Development and remain compliant with and aligned to the Children’s Act 38 of 2005.

Public Benefit Organisation Registration: PBO Registration Letter: Donations of funds to the Homestead, PBO 18/11/13/1038 allows South African companies and individuals to deduct the value of your donation from your taxable income. This is a significant benefit and will be deductible if the donation: Is supported by a donation certificate (The Homestead issues official section 18a receipts); and your donation does not exceed 10 percent of the taxable income of the taxpayer calculated .
